Treatments
What is Acupuncture?
Acupuncture is used in treatment of a wide range of conditions. It was developed in China over thousands of years and is now increasingly available in the UK.
Treatments involve placing very fine, sterile, disposable needles into specific points of the body which have been found to stimulate healing.
What is involved?
During your first session you can discuss the reasons you want treatment. The acupuncturist will ask about your medical history, lifestyle and any prescription medication you might take.
Research has shown that acupuncture is a very safe form of treatment and produces few side effects, most people feel relaxed after treatment. Consequently you are advised to take a break after treatment before driving.
Other treatments that may be offered as part of any healthcare provided may include:
*Acupuncture
*Moxibustion (provides heat stimulation to areas or acupoints)
*Cupping or Gua Sha (encourages the flow of blood and qi and the release of stress and tension in the muscles and fascia)
*Auricular Acupuncture (ear acupuncture)
